Penzance’s history

Penzance sits on Highway 2, about 88 kilometres north of Moose Jaw, in the Rural Municipality of Sarnia No. 221. The community took its name from the original Penzance, in Cornwall, England.

For many years Penzance was an incorporated village, a status it held until January 31, 2008. Since then it has been a special service area within the rural municipality.
